All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think, we become. (Buddha)
With things getting quieter inside the skull, I’m able to hear myself think. Less and less often, the ego’s tantrums go unobserved. More and more often, nefarious activities get noticed.
As much as I respect the words of the Buddha, I’m finding myself drawn increasingly to Goethe’s assertion: “Thinking is more interesting than knowing, but less interesting than looking.”
