Our deepest desire

A person is what his deep desire is. It is our deepest desire in this life that shapes the life to come. So let us direct our deepest desires to realize the Self. (Chandogya Upanishad)

The central insight in Hinduism is that Atman (the highest Self) is identical to the essence of the universe (Brahman).

OM/Aum, a symbol of Hindu faith, is one of the most sacred symbols in Hinduism. The symbol originates as a cursive writing of au ओं + candrabindu ଁ in the Devanagari script.
