In his early monograph, Proust, Beckett cites Schopenhauer’s definition of the artistic procedure as “the contemplation of the world independently of the principle of reason.” (Harold Bloom)

    • I seldom post images from sources other than my own camera; in such instances, however, it’s my usual practice to provide a link to the source.

      For my own images, I give a title (with a date in brackets) and link the thumbnail to a larger version.
