Travelling by car from Nelson to Takaka, earlier this month, my friends and I stopped at Te Waikoropupu Springs, where we spent some time taking photographs and enjoying the pristine environment.

“Located in Golden Bay, the springs are well known for the clarity of the water, and the volume of water discharged. The springs are spiritually significant to the Māori people. Commonly referred to as Pupu Springs, [these are] New Zealand’s largest freshwater springs and the largest coldwater springs in the southern hemisphere.” (from New Zealand’s Information Network)
